What is SEAPODYM ?
Documentation
SEAPODYM is a numerical model initially developed for investigating physical-biological interaction between fish populations and the ocean pelagic ecosystem
Research and Development
SEAPODYM simulates functional groups at the Lower and Mid-Trophic Level (LMTL) and detailed age structure populations of top predators. Data assimilation techniques are used to estimate model parameters.
Partnership
The Oceanic Fisheries Programme at SPC and the Marine Ecosystem Modeling team in CLS are the two historical partners who supported the development of the model. Additional key collaborations have supported the project.
